Comprehensive Abortion Care

EngenderHealth works to ensure that women, girls, and other pregnant persons—particularly young people and those with the least access to care—can realize their rights and obtain services free from stigma, discrimination, and delay. We partner with governments, healthcare providers, and youth- and women-led organizations to expand access to both induced abortion and postabortion care, improve clinical quality, and strengthen health systems to deliver safe, person-centered services. 

We also promote self-managed care through expanded access to medication abortion and collaborate with young feminist activists and organizations to advocate for improved laws, guidelines, and accountability mechanisms. In addition, we are committed to countering opposition and misinformation from anti-choice groups that threaten access and rights. Across all our work, we center dignity, autonomy, and informed choice.
