Staff Engagement

A variety of staff-led and organizational activities and programs enable staff to connect, build camaraderie, and know they are valued members of our community.

Communities of Practice: We bring together individuals who work across content areas and countries on topics related to our programs to share ideas, expertise, and strategies and to solve problems together. Communities of Practice advance our individual and collective learning while generating opportunities for connection and professional development. 

GEDI: We actively promote our Gender, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (GEDI) policy across the organization via a representative group of staff who serve as GEDI Champions on our GEDI Council. We recognize that our GEDI principles manifest differently in the countries where we work and strive to achieve meaningful adoption and practice at all levels. 

GEM: Our Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Award provides quarterly recognition of employees and/or teams who make exemplary contributions to the organization through their work.

Social Committee: Each office is encouraged to create opportunities for social engagement. Staff-led events include joint meals, wellness challenges, talent contests, holiday parties, and more.
