Delivering Inclusive Family Planning Services to Tanzanian Communities: EngenderHealth’s Scaling Up Family Planning Program’s Adaptations and Successes

How can family planning services reach people who are too often excluded from care? This technical brief shares how the Scaling Up Family Planning program adapted routine, postpartum, and outreach services across Tanzania to respond to the needs of young people, survivors of gender-based violence, and people with disabilities. Drawing on results from the program’s first two years, it highlights practical approaches to inclusive service delivery, community engagement, provider training, disability data collection, and stronger referral pathways.
