EngenderHealth Welcomes New Member to the Executive Team
May 19, 2017—New York. EngenderHealth, a leading international women’s health organization, is pleased to announce the expansion of its executive team with the June 30 arrival of Mustafa Kudrati, who will assume a vital role in helping the organization realize its strategic vision as its new Vice President for Innovation, Impact, and Quality.
Kudrati, a veteran international health and development professional, brings more than 20 years of experience in managing integrated health programs and leading human rights policy and advocacy initiatives. As the former Tanzania country representative for Pathfinder International and a member of the organization’s Global Executive Team, he oversaw the growth and diversification of the Tanzania portfolio, to include prevention, service delivery, and advocacy programs in reproductive health and rights.
“We are elated to have Mustafa join EngenderHealth as a critical member of the executive team. His expertise and perspective will help strengthen the development of innovative and evidence-based approaches to increasing access to quality sexual and reproductive health services and ensure the centrality of women and girls’ rights in all that our organization does.” said Ulla Müller, EngenderHealth President and CEO.
Besides his work in Tanzania, Kudrati has experience in Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and Vietnam, providing technical assistance to strengthen the capacity of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), faith-based organizations, and local government in areas including but not limited to strategic planning, program supervision, financial oversight, leadership development, and governance strengthening.
Prior to joining Pathfinder, Kudrati worked for several years as an organizational development consultant in Eastern and Southern Africa, facilitating integrated program conceptualization and implementation, strengthening institutional capacity, and leading strategic planning processes in NGOs and the public sector. Earlier in his career, he served as a co-founder and director of the Kuleana Center for Children’s Rights in Tanzania, which under his leadership received high acclaim for advocacy and innovation in working with vulnerable and at-risk children.
Kudrati brings both strategic vision and on-the-ground experience to the work of advancing EngenderHealth’s mission at the global, country, and local levels.
