EngenderHealth Board of Directors Announces Interim President & CEO

December 1, 2017–The EngenderHealth Board of Directors has unanimously voted to appoint Rosemary Ellis, secretary of the Board, as Interim President and CEO of the organization, effective immediately.

Rob Petty, Chair of the Board, said, “We are honored that Rosemary has agreed to serve during this crucial time of transition for the organization. And we are very grateful to have her step into this role and provide us with strong and steady leadership during our continued strategic evolution.”

Ellis has served on the EngenderHealth Board for eight years, and has deep experience in executive management, strategic development, brand building, marketing, and media. She has long been involved in causes that protect and further the reproductive health and rights of women and girls.

A committee of the Board of Directors is launching a global search to recruit a permanent President and CEO. Ellis will serve as CEO until a permanent replacement has been identified, and she will temporarily step down from the Board of Directors while she holds this interim position.
