Jenifer DeAtley is an experienced community and executive leader, having spent 20 years in the non-profit public health sector in the United States and globally. She has a deep knowledge and understanding of prevention and education related to health disparities and outcomes, with a special focus on engaging and empowering youth communities to engage in healthy sexual and reproductive health practices. Her work emphasizes the critical intersection of gender and health, focusing on the importance of using social justice approaches to address gender disparities that perpetuate negative health outcomes. Amanda Doenges, U.S. Programs Manager
Amanda Doenges is a bilingual non-profit and development professional with extensive experience in project management. She has worked alongside diverse organizations with limited resources, cultural, and political barriers to ensure the most vulnerable populations have access to their own sexual and reproductive health rights and brings with her vast leadership experience in sexual and reproductive health developing and leading various programmatic initiatives with community leaders and youth both domestically and internationally. Tracy Parks, Programs & Partnerships Coordinator
As the Programs and Partnerships Coordinator for EngenderHealth’s Re:MIX project, Tracy Parks implements the organization’s peer educator program and supports to parenting young adults in Austin; and builds and maintains partnerships with community advocates and partners. Parks’ work in youth programs and services includes curriculum development, career planning and teen counseling with gender-responsive, culturally inclusive and trauma informed care approaches. Melissa Carnagey, LBSW, Training and Education Coordinator
Melissa Carnagey is a sexuality educator and social worker with over 10 years’ experience in the field of sexual health, which has spanned non-profit, state government and classroom settings. Melissa has taught sexuality education to hundreds of middle and high school students, bringing a dynamic energy, passion and commitment to inclusive, medically accurate, shame-free education and support for youth. She loves creating safe, taboo-free spaces for curiosities and learning about topics like the body, healthy relationships, consent and sex. Learn more about Melissa.
Rebecca Shirsat, Evaluation Coordinator
Rebecca Shirsat is the Evaluation Coordinator at the Austin EngenderHealth office and supports monitoring and evaluation activities on the Re:MIX program. With an interest in the intersection between evaluation data and program implementation, she enjoys working with program participants to find implementation solutions and improve programs throughout implementation. Rebecca currently serves as the Professional Development Coordinator for the Healthy Youth Partnership, an Austin-based organization which provides training opportunities for youth-serving professionals.
