Quality Health Partners

EngenderHealth was the managing partner of Quality Health Partners (QHP), a 5-year project (2004-2009) funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to support the Ghana Health Service/Ministry of Health to ensure high quality of reproductive and child health services in Ghana. The program spanned the public and the private sectors and included: family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment, malaria prevention and treatment, and infectious disease surveillance. The program focused its efforts on 30 districts located in 7 regions of Ghana plus other districts with high prevalence of HIV, and led major efforts in the development of national service delivery protocols, guidelines and training curricula for health care providers.

QHP's work in HIV and AIDS prevention was extended through 2010.
