Accelerating Equality for Women and Girls around the World
On Thursday, December 3rd, EngenderHealth co-hosted a lively event at the Paley Center for Media with Equality Now and Ashoka, featuring Ana Langer, Bill Drayton, and Taina Bien-Aimé in conversation with Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn—authors of Half the Sky. Moderated by Maria Hinojosa of NOW on PBS, the speakers and audience members engaged in a fascinating and inspiring discussion that touched on topics including how women and girls are represented in the media, the importance of engaging men as partners in advancing reproductive health, and how each of us can be powerful agents of change and make a difference in our communities.
Watch the video of the event and share the recording with others who, like you, are committed to accelerating equality for women and girls around the world. The video is in two parts, each one approximately an hour long. Part 1 of the video includes discussion among the panelists, and Part 2 features the panelists responding to questions from the audience. Both will play in the video player above, or you can watch them directly on YouTube: Part 1 and Part 2.
We hope that you will stay informed, take action, and encourage those in your network to do the same.
