Mina Barling

Vice President, Partnerships, Development & Mobilization

Mina Barling is the Vice President for partnerships and development and mobilization, based in our New York headquarters. Barling brings experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), population and development, gender equality, gender-based violence, and social policy issues, with in-country postings in Australia, Cambodia, China, Timor Leste, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.

Barling comes to EngenderHealth with numerous advocacy accolades. She is the former director of strategic programs at Marie Stopes International (MSI), where she ensured critical investments translated into safe reproductive health care services for the world’s most vulnerable women. She has been part of efforts to ensure that medical abortion has been made available to women in a number of countries, and she has worked on critical areas of policy and legislative reform relating to women’s reproductive rights. She has also co-led advocacy work that resulted in the biggest investment for SRHR ever to be offered by the Australian government. Barling has held multiple field positions across the Asia and Pacific region; and is adept at working with the government and private sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health science and a bachelor of social science from the University of Adelaide, Australia, and a master’s degree in international health management from the University of New England.
