Director, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
Malayah is a respected leader in gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with over 20 years of experience working with the United Nations, World Bank, WHO, British government, and civil society. Prior to EngenderHealth, she served as UNAIDS Country Director in Kenya and Uganda, and was a senior advisor in South Africa. Malayah is a founding board member and Global Champion for the SRHR movement SheDecides and serves on the panel of Chief Advisors for FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders. Malayah has a Master’s degree from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a post-graduate degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins, and Bachelor’s degree in International Development from the University of Toronto.
