EngenderHealth and Coaches Across Continents Receive Gift to Develop New Collaborative Initiative

WASHINGTON (November 19, 2021) – EngenderHealth and Coaches Across Continents are preparing to collaborate on a new initiative that will enhance sexual and reproductive health and rights using the power of play and sports.

“EngenderHealth is thrilled to establish a partnership with Coaches Across Continents. We have common goals around advancing rights and health and working meaningfully with young people and communities to do so,” said EngenderHealth President and CEO Traci L. Baird. “We appreciate the Kahrl family’s enthusiastic support for this initiative.”

“We are supporting the collaboration between EngenderHealth and Coaches Across Continents because we believe in the strength of cooperation and the power of sport and purposeful play to deliver critical messages concerning sexual and reproductive healthcare,” said initiative donor Ben Kahrl. “We are particularly impressed with Coaches Across Continents’ innovative approach and the work they have done already in Tanzania. We are also impressed with EngenderHealth’s programming, transparent leadership, and commitment to promoting local leaders and honoring meaningful partnerships.”

The initiative will be developed jointly by EngenderHealth and Coaches Across Continents to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights and gender equality. Both organizations count youth-centered programming as a cornerstone of their work and have a long history of engaging with young people to improve access to vital health information in countries worldwide.
