This section is designed to help you find ways to apply the content of this module to your everyday work.

  1. Educational Activities: Hold a session with staff and colleagues to discuss the pros and cons of each of the three management approaches. This link contains information that can be used to address some common concerns of health care providers about using the syndromic approach:
  2. Update on STI/RTI Diagnostics. This document gives a basic update on the types of diagnostic tests for STIs and RTIs with a brief description of each.
  3. Algorithms (flowcharts). The following set of algorithms can be supplemented with data on local prevalence and adapted for use in your facility.
