Issues to address include reassurance that sex does not hurt the baby in the absence of vaginal bleeding or broken amniotic sac; how she feels about herself sexually at this time; how she feels about her husband’s finding her attractive; how frequent is “constantly”; what other sexual activities and positions would give her pleasure without involving awkward positions; what is her ability to communicate with her husband about what she would like to do and like him to do; does she have concerns about her husband’s having other partners, whether or not she is sexually interested and available, and the associated risk of STIs, if he has.
