International Groups Feature AVSC Online Course

Two international groups are highlighting AVSC's online course on infection prevention (www.engenderhealth.org/ip/).

The Bill and Melinda Gates Children's Vaccine Program, a project of PATH (Program for Appropriate Technology in Health), will feature the course on a CD-ROM it is developing. The goal of the program is to accelerate access to new vaccines for children in the developing world. Infection prevention is a key concern regarding the needles and syringes used in vaccination.

Medicus Mundi Switzerland, the Swiss network of organizations for international cooperation in health care, links to AVSC's course through its Web site (www.healthtraining.org/online.html). The site presents an inventory of postgraduate training opportunities in international health.

AVSC's online course was funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
