Our Countries

EngenderHealth works in dozens of countries around the world in family planning, maternal health, HIV and AIDS, gender equity, and many other issues related to sexual and reproductive health.

At @EngenderHealth, we are lucky to work closely with @FMoHealth to improve access to and quality of #familyplanning in Ethiopia. Tonight I got to spend time w/ the Honorable State Ministers of Health, @lia_tadesse and Seharla Abdulahi. I look forward to working with them!

"Today and every day, let’s stand up for the human rights, safety and dignity of every woman and girl everywhere. Let’s hear their voices, champion their rights and choices, and keep moving forward together." -@UNFPA's @Atayeshe on #HumanRightsDay #StandUp4HumanRights #16Days

The healthcare providers and leaders at this hospital emphasized client-centered, rights-based care. #reprorights are #HumanRights! https://t.co/CJjZ4SbJ7I

Today, #HumanRightsDay, we saw this sign in the #familyplanning room at hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with which we partner. Stand up for sexual and reproductive health rights. #SRHR #StandUp4HumanRights #16Days

Respect women at the workplace.
Respect women in public.
Respect women at home.
Respect women.

One highlight of the day was meeting with Peer Educators who are helping their fellow students at Debre Berhan University learn about sexual health, safe sex, and the services available to them. I even got a selfie with one Peer Educator. 2/2

Our CEO is in Ethiopia, seeing our work there first-hand, meeting with partners, and learning about the ways the country is working on #familyplanning and reproductive health.

Met with members of the @EngenderHealth team in Ethiopia tonight. Inspired by our work here and opportunities to continue increasing #familyplanning access & quality. Looking forward to program briefings and partner meetings!

A highlight of IOFWG: hearing the extraordinary journey of Kevin, an expert fistula client, advocate, and @EngenderHealth volunteer from Uganda: “My fistula is here to stay, but life has to move on.” A true highlight of IOFWG. Congratulations, @EndFistula!

At day 2 of #ISOFS, FC+ shared research findings from two areas: Dr. Vandana Tripathi presented on the association between genital fistula and incidence of #GBV, and Dr. Kenny Raha discussed the frequency and management of non-obstetric fistula at FC+ sites in DRC. #EndFistula
