• Determinants of Postoperative Outcomes in Fistula Repair Surgery—Preliminary Results
  The Fistula Care project presented preliminary findings from an ongoing observational prospective study assessing the association of fistula repair practices with clinical outcomes as part of the panel discussion “UNFPA and FIGO: Advancing Knowledge in Obstetric Fistula: The International Obstetric Fistula Working Group.”  Findings were shared, including descriptive data about clients’ sociodemographic background, circumstances surrounding the development of the fistula and its anatomical and clinical characteristics, as well as pre-, intra- and post-operative techniques. The results of the study will help answer some of the most pressing clinical research questions in the fistula field and will inform future interventions and further research in fistula treatment and prevention.
