EngenderHealth Announces New Vice Presidents

EngenderHealth, an international, not-for-profit reproductive health organization, announces the appointment of three new Vice Presidents: Isaiah Ndong, MD, MPH; Terrence Jezowski, MS; and Mark Trozzi, MS.

Dr. Ndong has more than 26 years of experience leading and managing major program initiatives related to family planning, reproductive health, and other public health issues. Since 1995, Dr. Ndong has played a critical role in advancing EngenderHealth’s work both in Africa and around the world. For the past four years, Dr. Ndong has served as Director of the Action for West Africa Region–Reproductive Health (AWARE-RH) Project, which is based in Ghana. In this role, Dr. Ndong led a team of EngenderHealth staff and global partners to improve reproductive and maternal and child health services across 21 countries in West Africa. He is highly experienced in providing training in programmatic and clinical reproductive health issues, such as clinic-based contraceptive methods, postabortion care, male involvement in reproductive health, maternal health, quality improvement, and emergency obstetric care.

Dr. Ndong also served as EngenderHealth’s Regional Director for West Africa from 2001 to 2003 and as Senior Medical Associate from 1995 to 2001. Prior to joining EngenderHealth, he was the Divisional Chief of Service for Public Health in the Ministry of Health of Cameroon. Dr. Ndong received his medical degree from the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon and his Master of Public Health from the University of Washington in Seattle.

Terrence Jezowski, MS, Vice President for External Relations

Terrence Jezowski, Vice President for External Relations, has been with EngenderHealth for the past 33 years in various leadership positions. Since 2003, as Vice President of Development and Marketing, Mr. Jezowski has led successful efforts to build EngenderHealth’s fundraising, institutional giving, business development, communications, and marketing functions. He also presided over the launch of a three-year communications strategy that includes a rebranding initiative and an effort to increase the visibility of the organization through proactive public relations and media cultivation.

During his career at EngenderHealth, Mr. Jezowski has also served as Asia Regional Director, based in Bangladesh; as Director of International Programs for 12 years; and as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing financial management, human resources, and organizational planning functions. Mr. Jezowski received a Master of Science from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health.

Mark Trozzi, MS, Vice President for Operations and Chief Financial Officer

Mark Trozzi brings to his new position more than 30 years of senior financial management experience. Having joined EngenderHealth as a consultant in 2005, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer the following year. Prior to EngenderHealth, Mr. Trozzi served as Group Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. As a consultant, he provided long-term senior financial management services to other large not-for-profit organizations, including Amnesty International and the National Office of the YWCA, and developed and implemented programs that restored management and fiscal control while improving financial management systems. Mr. Trozzi received a Master of Science in management from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
