Mark Chataway, M.A.

Mr. Chataway is a co-founder of Baird’s Communications Management Consultants, where he helped to develop the firm’s proprietary systems for analyzing communications risks and opportunities and for effective stakeholder relations. His clients include Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Glaxo SmithKline, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Merck & Co., and Sanofi Pasteur. Mr. Chataway is also Director of his own global communications and policy consultancy, Hyderus, based in Wales. Mr. Chataway has worked in communications in the HIV and AIDS field since 1983, when he became Communications Director of the GMHC (then the Gay Men’s Health Crisis) in New York. Since then, he has worked with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) as a consultant to the Country and Regional Programs and the Communications Departments. Mr. Chataway has a Master’s Degree from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Troy State University.
